Campaigning against FE fees

All campaigners are urged to fill in a new survey launched by UCU, NUS, Unison and ATL and aimed at finding out how prepared staff and students are for the new loan system for learners over 24 taking courses at level 3 or above.

LOBBY YOUR MP

Step 1 – speak to your own student/union representatives about lobbying your MP.

Step 2 – contact corresponding staff/students to see how you can work together to make the case against FE fees and loans.

Step 3 – call your MP’s office and ask for an appointment at their surgery, or invite them to come and see you at your institution. You should do this as soon as possible to try and secure time in the diary. Click here to contact your MP online.

Step 4download the ‘key points’ briefing for your institution

Other campaign activities

Write to the local newspaper – a template letter is here. Why not get as many signatures as possible from staff and students at the college?

Hold an event and invite local councillors along.

Invite your MP to your union, student group meeting or UCU/Unison branch meeting (or a joint meeting!).

Contact your MP on Twitter using the #No2FEFees hashtag.
